What’s the Best Time to Host a Webcast?

rent AV equipment  GTAWe’ve helped a number of people rent AV equipment in the GTA and helped them host successful webcasts. We’re frequently asked, “What is the best time to host a webcast? Is afternoon or morning better?”

Well, according to a recent survey of webcast participants, the most convenient time to attend a webcast is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with 41 per cent of respondents saying that time block works best for them.

The next most convenient time was the afternoon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. (30 per cent). Next was the morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. (23 per cent). The least popular time was 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (6 per cent).

The same survey says that choosing a time was not the most difficult part of scheduling a webcast. Respondents said that the most difficult part is securing registrants (40 per cent), followed by choosing the day and time (16 per cent). The other two most difficult aspects were creating content (13 per cent) and securing speakers (13 per cent).

Their data also shows that respondents feel the best ways to create a more engaging webcast are:

• Having interesting speakers (91 per cent)
• Incorporating surveys/polls (48 per cent)
• Incorporating video (45 per cent)
• Holding raffles (20 per cent)
